Advocacy
Aurora supports survivors of human trafficking to feel empowered in a life of freedom through counseling, peer support, and care coordination.
Team Care

We believe that supporting survivors is best done as a team, with the survivor at the center. Participants receive a team of advocates trained in providing specialized collaborative care services.
Counseling Services

Our credentialed clinical professionals offer counseling services for youth and adults, including assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and multidisciplinary care coordination. Therapeutic services can be provided through a variety of evidence-based modalities that address exploitation-specific trauma and vulnerability, as well as co-occurring concerns.
Survivor Mentorship Program

Aurora’s survivor mentors are trained peer support specialists who draw on their lived experience of exploitation to support others in recovery. Mentors offer support through a relationship built on trust and mutual respect. Mentor advocates encourage individuals to voice their needs in all settings, help participants navigate complex service systems, and model healthy coping strategies.
Peer Support Groups

We understand that connecting with others who share similar lived experiences can provide a unique sense of validation and shared understanding that other services cannot replicate. That is why we want to offer peer support groups for survivors of trafficking and exploitation. Please reach out to get on the waitlist.
Care Coordination

Aurora advocates engage with multidisciplinary teams and offer intensive care coordination to ensure needs are met and support participants in working towards their goals.
Caregiver Support Services

We provide psychoeducation and support to parents and caregivers of youth who have experienced exploitation.
Residential Program Goals

Aurora is working towards offering residential therapeutic care for youth exiting situations of exploitation. Please check back for updates on program development and plans.
